Last Update 3/28/08

On the writing front, my play THE NEW DEAL was given the honor of being the first play to be developed by the Roundabout Theatre Company in its "Different Voices" program in June. It was a fantastic experience!

I am proud to be a new member of the Women's Work Playwriting Lab at New Perspectives Theatre Company. We'll be showcasing some short works the week of August 18 here in NYC. Stay tuned for details.

This is turning out to be a very busy Spring!

I continue to be involved with an intense and provocative "documentary play" called SEVEN, written by 7 playwrights about 7 real global female activists. The brilliant Catherine Filloux wrote the sections about Mu Sochua, former Minister of Women's Affairs in Cambodia, who I am honored to portray. Our next performance is April 13 at the Culture Project in NYC. This project is sponsored by an organization called Vital Voices. (www.vitalvoices.org)

This Spring, I will be appearing in a new musical called HONOR with the Prospect Theater Company. It's another very exciting project! A musical version of AS YOU LIKE IT set in feudal Japan, this latest work by 2007 Fred Ebb Award winner Peter Mills and Cara Reichel boasts a fabulous all-Asian American cast, an extraordinary score, and lots of samurai sword fights! I will not be appearing in the April 26 performance --as I will be doing a Cabaret show at the Queens Theatre in the Park that night (with special Guest Star, Bruce Johnson!) for their Asian Cultural Festival (2 shows: 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.)

Also, "Asian Americans on Broadway" will be making an appearance at a private reception in honor of Asian Heritage Month at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in May. The Temple of Dendur will provide an inspiring back drop, no doubt!

And watch for news about a short film called MIDAS' SON that I recently shot with Fluid Motion Theater and Film.

AND Stay tuned for more about TOP OF THE KEY: THE WAT MISAKA STORY!
